Nathan Eugene Watson



Nathan Eugene Watson, affectionately known as "Nate", was born October 24, 1986 in Raleigh, NC, Wake County to Paul Godette and the late Regina Ann Watson . He departed from this earthly life on February 23, 2018.

Nathan was raised in Raleigh, NC. He attended and graduated from Millbrook High School. He started his career as a crew member at McDonald's on Trawick Road in Raleigh, NC. In 2015, he worked at All My Sons Moving Company as a Supervisor. He later worked for B & W Moving Company. He recently started at Waste Management Company as a Sorter in Raleigh NC. In whatever position he served, Nat was always the hardest worker on the team.

Nathan knew and loved the Lord. He attended Mount Peace Baptist Church, at an early age with his mother, little sister, Veronica and little brother Gerald. They later attended Save the Seed, a neighborhood church, when he was an 9 years old with his siblings as well. After his mom passed in 2000, he joined Springfield Baptist Church where he attended. Family Nathan was a part of the Youth Ministry and the Layman League's Mentoring Ministry at Church, where he enjoyed fellowshipping with his peers.

Nathan was preceded in death by his mother, Regina Ann Watson, grandmother who raised him, Helen Francis Watson and Uncle Alfonzo Lee Watson.

Left to cherish his precious memories: son: Nathan Watson Jr.; sisters: Veronica Watson, Raleigh, NC and Vinus Humphreys, Clayton, NC; Brothers: Paul Godette Jr., Zebulon, NC and Gerald Dawson of Houston, Texas. Aunts: Shelia Watson, Wendell, NC and Raquel Brown, Raleigh, Uncles: Alonza Watson, Raleigh, NC. Special Friend, Shinaka McCrae, Raleigh, NC; And a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Springfield Baptist church at 12:00 PM with visitation preceding the service at 11:30 AM.

Public viewing will be on Friday, March 2, 2018 at Haywood Funeral Home from 2-8 PM.
