God strengthens us by giving us the "power beyond what is normal" to make it through each passing day. Psalm 46:1 says: "God is our refuge and strength, a help that is readily found in times of distress". Please accept my sincere condolences. Always remember God loves you and he cares for you. Sorry for loss of a dear family member and friend. Losing a loved in death can be almost unbearable. But the God of comfort is always there for you. Psalm 34:18 says, "18 Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." God always wants and will rid the earth of death and wickedness. When and how will he do this? Look up Isaiah 25:8 and Revelation 21:3,4 in your copy of the Bible for the answer. I hope it can be a great source of encouragement during this distressing time as it was for me.
