Obituary

James Sanders, affectionately known as Boogaloo, peacefully passed this life on Sunday, April 8, 2018 in Raleigh, NC. He was born on February 28, 1947 to Lucian and the late Rosa Lee Sanders. James was also preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip Sanders and Lucian Sanders, Jr.

James was educated in the Wake County Public School System. He was employed by Wake Enterprise, where he retired. He loved music, his favorite song being I’m In Love With Mary Jane. He also loved to eat and to dance, but mostly he loved to go to the loving home of his sister Kat to be spoiled.

He leaves to mourn his passing, five sisters, Katherine McClain (Justin), Annie Williams (Alvin), Jackie Sanders, Hazeline Evans, and Reggi Jones, all of Raleigh, NC; two brothers, Carl Jones of Raleigh, NC and Michael Jones of Washington, DC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral service at 11:30 AM Friday April 13, 2018 at the C.A. Haywood, Sr. Memorial Chapel preceded by an 11:00 AM visitation.
